Havanna Special
The Havanna Special was created in the 1990s by Liane Kohlhaus, who was the owner of the Havanna Bar near Hamburg’s fish market at the time. She wanted to capture the Cuban flair and way of life in the fruity cocktail, which she also promoted in her bar. Cuba is well-known for sunny Caribbean weather, cigars and rum, therefore it is no surprise that the SHATLER’s Havanna Special is mixed with rum. Orange, peach, lemon, passion fruit and Grenadine syrup make this cocktail a fruity and summer-y delight. Today the Havanna Special is our special of the house and Liane is in charge of all recipes of our SHATLER’s Cocktails. To decorate this cocktail you may use a slice of orange or a string of currants.
